ContentRoof

A video for every product in your Shopify store

Paste the link to any product page in your store. ContentRoof reads the name, price, description and features, and makes a short narrated video with captions and animated drawings that ends with your store's address. Nothing to install and nothing changes in your store.

A product video · made with ContentRoof

No app, no access to your store

Most video apps for Shopify ask to be installed and want access to your products. ContentRoof doesn't need either. It reads your product page the way a customer sees it, from the public link. Your store, your theme and your products stay exactly as they are.

That also means it works the same way for stores on WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace and most other shop builders: if a customer can open the page, ContentRoof can usually read it.

What it reads from a product page

Shopify stores publish their product details in a form search engines read: the product name, brand, price and availability. ContentRoof reads that, plus the page's own words: the description, the feature lists, materials, sizes and care notes.

In our tests, a sneaker store's product page gave the video its weight, the materials of the upper, lining and sole, the price and that the shoes are machine washable. The script opened with the customer's problem (hot, heavy feet by noon) and ended with the store's address.

What the video says

  1. A hook built on the problem your product solves.
  2. What the product is, in one plain sentence.
  3. Two or three benefits from your page, each with an animated drawing, or a counter for a number such as a weight or a size.
  4. Your store's address as the button at the end, or any call to action you set in the brand kit ("Free delivery this week", "Order on WhatsApp").

It never adds what your page doesn't say: no invented reviews, discounts, awards or numbers. You can edit every word of the script before the video is made.

One product a day, without a production day

The slow part of product videos is usually writing, not editing. With the script written from your page, one product takes a few minutes: paste, read, export. Ideas that work well for stores:

Your brand on every video

Upload your logo and choose your colours once in the brand kit, and set your call to action. Every product video then carries them, in the template you chose, without setting anything up again.

Everything to post it

Download vertical for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, square for the Facebook and Instagram feed, or 16:9 for YouTube. The publish kit writes the title, description and hashtags, and turns the same script into a carousel and a thumbnail.

How it works

  1. Open the product in your store and copy the linkAny product page a customer can open. A store that is still password protected can't be read; paste the description instead.
  2. Paste it with Product chosenThe page is read in a second or two and the script is written from it.
  3. Check the script and the lookChange any word, pick a voice, a template and your brand colours.
  4. Download and postSign in with Google (free) and download the MP4 in the shape you need.

Questions

Do I need to install a Shopify app?

No. Paste the product's link; ContentRoof only reads the public page and never needs access to your store.

Does it work with WooCommerce, Wix or Squarespace?

Usually, yes: any product page a customer can open is read the same way. If a page can't be read you're told, and you can paste the product's description instead.

Will it make up features or discounts?

No. Product videos only use facts, names, prices and numbers that appear on the page.

Can I put my own call to action at the end?

Yes. By default it's your store's address; set your own once in the brand kit and every video uses it.

Is it free?

Writing the script and watching the preview are free with no sign-up. The free plan includes 3 downloads with a small ContentRoof mark; paid plans export in 1080p without it.
