What ContentRoof does
You type an idea, a lesson, a product or a news story. ContentRoof writes a script, records a natural voice, and builds a video where every sentence is illustrated as it is spoken: animated line drawings matched to the meaning of the words, a globe that flies to the places you name, counters for big numbers, charts for growth and decline, and timelines for years. Captions appear word by word.
The finished video comes out vertical for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Reels, 16:9 for YouTube, or square for feeds, without a watermark. From the same script you also get titles, descriptions, hashtags, a thread, a LinkedIn post, a blog article, a carousel and a thumbnail.
How it works, briefly
| Part | How it's made |
|---|---|
| Script | Written by an AI language model from your idea. Scripts in other languages are drafted in English first for accuracy, then translated |
| Voice | Natural neural voices, with exact timing for every word |
| Pictures | About 10,000 open-source drawings, chosen by a multilingual AI model that reads each sentence; plus 26 hand-made animated illustrations |
| Motion | Maps, counters, charts, clocks, comparisons and zooms, picked from what each sentence does |
| Music | Generated for each video and mixed under the voice |
| Rendering | Remotion, the React video framework |
Languages
English, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian and Russian. Urdu is shown in proper Nastaliq script and read right to left; Arabic is right to left; Hindi uses Devanagari. Numbers and years are spoken the way people say them in each language.
What it deliberately doesn't do
- No stock footage and no AI-generated images: the visuals are drawings and motion graphics, so they never show something unrelated to the sentence.
- No AI presenters or talking heads.
- When nothing fits a sentence, it shows the words as large animated type with the video's main subject, rather than a wrong picture.
Your work and your data
Writing scripts and watching previews is free and needs no account. Downloading videos, captioning your own clips and saving projects needs a free Google sign-in. A video you make can only be downloaded by your account unless you choose to share a public link, which you can remove at any time. Our own analytics are first-party and cookie-free; Google Analytics runs only if you allow it.
Accuracy
AI-written scripts can contain mistakes. Every script is fully editable, and you should check facts before you post. Comparison pages on this site describe other tools as of the date shown, from their own websites.
Questions
Is ContentRoof free?
Writing scripts and previewing videos is free with no sign-up. The free plan includes a few videos to download with a free Google sign-in; paid plans give more videos, 1080p and no watermark (see the pricing page).
Which languages does ContentRoof support?
English, Urdu (in Nastaliq), Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian and Russian, each with a natural voice and word-by-word captions.
Does ContentRoof use stock footage or AI images?
No stock footage. Most videos are illustrated with animated line drawings, maps, counters and charts chosen for each sentence; cinematic stories use AI-made pictures filmed with a moving camera.
Do videos have a watermark?
Free videos have a small contentroof.com mark. On a paid plan you can switch it off (or keep it and get 2 extra videos a month).
Can I caption my own video?
Yes. Upload a clip of up to 3 minutes and get word-by-word animated captions in any of the ten languages, with small drawings that pop up as you mention things.
