Why turn a video script into a blog post

A video script is already researched, ordered and checked. Turning it into an article lets the same work reach people who search and read instead of watch, and a written page can rank in Google search for the questions your video answers. It also gives you something to link from the video description.

But a script is written to be heard. It uses short sentences, repeats ideas for the ear, and says things like "follow for more". Pasted straight onto a page, it reads badly. This tool rewrites it for reading:

It only uses what is in your script. It doesn't add statistics, quotes, sources or links, so the article is as accurate as the video. Add your own links and images afterwards.

Example

A 60 second script about why the sky is blue, with scenes on sunlight, scattering and sunsets, becomes an article like this:

# Why Is the Sky Blue? Sunlight and Scattering Explained

Sunlight looks white, but it is a mix of every colour...

## Sunlight is made of many colours
...
## Why blue light scatters most
...
## Why sunsets turn red
...
## Key takeaways

Works with ContentRoof scripts and any other script

If your script comes from ContentRoof, paste it as it is: the tool understands the title:, # hook and # headline: lines and uses them as structure rather than copying them. A plain transcript or voice-over script works too.

The article comes back in Markdown, which most blog editors, including WordPress, Ghost and Notion, turn into headings and lists when you paste it. Choose "Same as the script" to keep the language, or pick another of the ten languages to write the article in that language.

Start from the video instead

ContentRoof can also go the other way. Type one sentence and it writes the script, records a natural voice and animates every sentence with drawings, maps and charts. Its post kit then writes the blog article, YouTube description, hashtags, an X thread and a LinkedIn post from the same script, so one idea becomes a video and everything you need to share it.

Questions

Is the script to blog post tool free?

Yes, free and without sign-up, with a fair-use limit per hour.

Will the article add facts that aren't in my script?

No. It only rewrites and organises what your script says. Add your own sources, links and images afterwards.

What format is the article in?

Markdown: a # title, ## section headings, paragraphs and lists. Most blog editors turn it into formatted headings and lists when you paste it.

Can I write the article in a different language from the script?

Yes. Choose one of the ten languages, or Same as the script to keep the original language.
