About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and ContentRoof ("ContentRoof", "we", "us"). If you use ContentRoof for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf. You can reach us at [email protected].
The service
ContentRoof turns ideas and scripts into narrated, animated videos, captions your own clips, and helps you plan and post them. Some features use AI services, which can make mistakes: check every script and video before you publish it.
Accounts
You sign in with a Google account. Keep it secure: you're responsible for what is made with your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use ContentRoof.
Plans and payments
- Free gives you a small number of videos to try ContentRoof, with a small contentroof.com mark on them.
- Paid plans (Starter and Pro) are monthly subscriptions with a number of videos per month, shown on the pricing page. Videos you don't use don't carry over.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle charges your card, adds any sales tax or VAT, and sends your invoices.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time in the billing portal (linked on the pricing page); your plan keeps working until the end of the month you paid for.
- Prices can change; a new price applies from your next renewal after we tell you about it.
- Refunds are described in the refund policy.
What you make
- You own the scripts you write and the videos you make. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service (for example to render your video and keep it in your library).
- Videos made on the free plan carry a small contentroof.com mark; don't remove or hide it.
Your responsibility for your content
ContentRoof is a tool. You decide what to make with it: the ideas, scripts, uploads and instructions you give, and what you publish, are yours, and so is the responsibility for them.
- You are solely responsible for every script, video, caption, picture and post made with your account, and for how, where and to whom you publish them.
- Before you publish, you check that your content is accurate, lawful where you and your audience are, and doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
- Content made by users does not reflect the views of ContentRoof, and we don't endorse it. We don't review content before it is made or published.
- AI-written scripts, translations, voices and pictures can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. They are drafts for you to check, not facts, advice or statements by ContentRoof.
Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use & Content Policy, which is part of these terms. In short, never use ContentRoof to make or spread content that supports terrorism or violent extremism, promotes hatred or violence (including antisemitism), exploits or endangers children, harasses or deceives people, impersonates real people, depicts prophets or other sacred figures, or breaks the law. Don't try to break, overload or get around the limits or safeguards of the service, resell it, or use automated tools to create accounts.
Enforcement
We may, without notice: refuse to make a video, remove content, disable public links, suspend or close accounts, and keep and share information with law enforcement where the law requires it or where we believe someone is in danger. Our safeguards (for example, automatic checks on AI pictures) reduce misuse but can't catch everything, and their existence doesn't make us responsible for content that gets past them. Availability and changes
We work to keep ContentRoof running and fast, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features. If we end a paid feature, we'll refund the unused part of the month.
Disclaimer
ContentRoof is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that any video will reach an audience, earn money, or be accepted by any platform.
To the extent the law allows, ContentRoof accepts no responsibility or liability for content created, uploaded or published by users, or for how anyone uses the service or what they make with it. Any claim about such content is a matter between the person who made it and whoever is affected.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or damage to reputation, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited by agreement.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and compensate ContentRoof against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your content, from how you use the service, or from your breaking these terms or the law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version. If a change matters for paid plans, we'll tell you before it applies.
