Everything a Short needs, from one line
- A hook-first script. The AI opens with the most surprising line, keeps one idea per scene and ends on a line that loops back to the start.
- A natural voice in 10 languages.
- Word-by-word captions placed where Shorts' own buttons and text won't cover them.
- Drawings that trace themselves as each word is spoken, matched by meaning from about 10,000 open-source drawings.
- Motion graphics on cue: a globe for places, counters for big numbers, charts for growth or decline, timelines for years, a zoom for scale.
- Music generated for each video, ducked under the voice, with the audio mastered to -14 LUFS.
- A finished opening frame. The first frame is a complete title card, so the preview image isn't blank, and you can export it as a thumbnail.
The Shorts details that are easy to get wrong
| Detail | What ContentRoof does |
|---|---|
| Size | Vertical 9:16, 1080×1920 |
| Length | Up to 3 minutes, which Shorts allows; most ideas fit in about a minute |
| Captions | Kept above the bottom of the frame, where the Shorts interface sits |
| Loudness | Mastered to -14 LUFS |
| Loop | The outro reuses the opening drawing, so the end flows back into the start |
| First frame | A finished title card, not a black screen |
What the post kit writes for you
From the same script you get YouTube titles, a description and tags, TikTok and Instagram captions, hashtags, an X thread, a LinkedIn post and a blog article. You can copy them as they are or edit them. Direct posting to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X is rolling out platform by platform; you can always download the MP4.
An example Short script
title: Why We Dream
kicker: YOUR BRAIN AT NIGHT
channel: @yourchannel
# hook
Every night, your brain makes a movie you'll *forget* by breakfast.
# headline: Sorting the day
While you sleep, your brain replays the day and decides what to keep.
# outro
So tonight, dream well. Follow for more about your brain.
The header lines set the title, the small label above the headline and your handle. Each # line starts a scene.
What makes a Short worth finishing
- The first sentence is the whole pitch. Ask a question or state something surprising.
- One idea per scene. Short scenes keep the picture changing.
- Keep it tight. If a sentence doesn't add something, cut it.
- Make the ending loop. A last line that leads back to the first makes replays feel natural.
- Publish consistently. The content planner gives you 7, 14 or 30 ideas with hooks at once.
Want widescreen instead? The same script also renders as a 16:9 YouTube video or a square post.
