What we collect

We don't collect payment card details: Paddle does, as described below.
Services that process your data
- Paddle (payments, merchant of record): your name, email, country and payment details when you buy a plan. See Paddle's privacy policy.
- Google: sign-in, and Google Analytics if you allow it (pages viewed, rough location, device and browser, and which features you use, such as writing a script or exporting a video). See how Google uses this data.
- Cloudflare: delivers the site and makes the pictures for cinematic stories from your scene descriptions.
- Groq: writes scripts with AI from your idea, and turns speech in uploaded clips into captions.
- Microsoft: reads the narration aloud for some languages (the narration text is sent to its speech service).
- Amazon Web Services and RunPod: render your videos on their servers.
These services only receive what they need for that task.
How long we keep it
- Videos you haven't shared are deleted after 30 days; download the ones you want to keep.
- Uploaded clips for captions are deleted after 2 days.
- Your account, scripts and settings are kept until you ask us to delete them.
- Anonymous usage counts are kept for statistics. Google Analytics keeps its data for 14 months.
Emails
We email you about your account and plan, and now and then about new features or ideas for videos. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask us to stop.
Your choices
You can allow or refuse Google Analytics at any time: change your cookie choice.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or delete your account, by writing to [email protected] from the email you sign in with. We reply within 30 days.
Children
ContentRoof isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy; the date below shows the latest version.
