What a brand film is
Big brands make short films that are not ads. They tell a story about why the company exists: a hand on a cave wall, the first printing press, a street waking up before dawn, and then the brand as the answer. They run 45 to 90 seconds, use few words, and end on a promise instead of a sales pitch.
Until now that meant an agency, an editor and a composer. ContentRoof makes one from a single sentence like "Riverside Bikes, Portland: repairs and rentals for commuters, open seven days a week", or from your website's link.
Three shapes, so your film isn't everyone's film
- From the first time to now. The history of the need your business serves, told in real archive photographs, then the turn ("So the fastest bread wins. Not the best one.") and your business as the answer.
- A day in the life. Dawn to dusk with the people who make it: the hands at work, the door opening, the regulars, the small detail nobody sees, and tomorrow's first customer.
- What we believe. A blunt truth about your world, three beliefs, the line you never cross, what you actually do and who it is for. Mostly typography, made for causes and values-led brands.
Pick one in the idea box, or let ContentRoof choose the one that fits your brief.
What goes into every film
- Real photographs, chosen by looking at them. Searches run on Wikimedia's free collections (public domain, CC0 and CC BY), and each candidate is checked by an image model against what the line is about. A picture that doesn't fit is never used; the line becomes big type instead. The photo credits go into your video's description.
- Designed set pieces: single words that fill the screen as they are said, lines that type themselves, a ring of your values, chips for what you do.
- A score that follows the film: quiet under the opening, silent for a beat at the turn, building to the end. Piano, strings, guitar or synth.
- Your brand: your logo and colours from the brand kit, and your button at the end: your website, your offer or your name.
- Seven looks, from a black-and-gold film style to clean white, sketchbook, pop and chalk, picked for the kind of business you are.
Who it is for
Cafés, bakeries, gyms, clinics, salons, workshops, schools, charities and local shops: anyone who wants a film that says why they exist, to post on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and their website. It works in ten languages, so a restaurant in Lisbon and a clinic in Amman get a film in their own.
Honest limits
ContentRoof only knows what your brief or website says. It will not invent a founder, a year or an award. Short briefs give general films, so tell it the specifics: the street, the hours, what you make by hand.

Questions
Do I need my own photos or footage?
No. ContentRoof finds free-to-use photographs from Wikimedia's collections and builds the rest as designed, animated scenes. Your logo comes from your brand kit.
Can it read my website?
Yes. Paste the link and the film is written from what the page says. Some sites block readers; then describe your business in a sentence or two.
Will it make things up about my business?
It is told not to. Every fact about your business comes from your brief or your page; it never invents founders, years, customers or awards.
Which languages can the film be in?
English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Urdu and Hindi, each with a natural narrator's voice.
How long does it take?
Writing and designing takes well under a minute; recording the voice and finding the photographs takes about a minute more.
