ContentRoof

A Submagic alternative for captions with drawings, and Urdu

Submagic is a full editor for clips you film. ContentRoof's Caption my video does one part of that job: word-by-word captions, plus small drawings that pop up when you mention things. Here is how they compare.

What this comparison covers

Submagic does much more than captions: it cuts long videos into clips, adds B-roll, zooms and sound effects, and publishes to social platforms. ContentRoof is mainly a tool that makes narrated videos from a sentence; captioning your own clip is one feature of it. So this page compares captioning a clip you filmed, and is plain about the rest.

What makes ContentRoof's captions different

Drawings that pop up as you speak. When you mention something (a planet, a heart, a city, a book) a small animated line drawing appears and traces itself on. It's picked by meaning from about 10,000 open-source drawings, in the language you're speaking. Nothing appears when there's no good match, so you never get a random picture.

Urdu that looks like Urdu. Many caption tools show Urdu in a Naskh or Arabic-style font, or lay the words out left to right. ContentRoof sets Urdu captions in Nastaliq, right to left, and keeps English words inside Urdu sentences in the right order. Hindi is shown in Devanagari and Arabic right to left.

Simple controls. Choose where the captions sit, how big they are and the highlight colour, fix any word the transcription got wrong, and download.
