Who makes quiz videos
- Trivia channels on Shorts, TikTok and Reels, where viewers pause, guess and comment their answer.
- Teachers and tutors who end a short lesson with a question to check that the idea landed.
- Brands and creators who want a format people replay to see if they were right.
How a quiz scene plays
- The narrator reads the question while it appears on screen.
- Each option appears as it is read out.
- A 3-2-1 countdown runs with ticking sounds, giving viewers time to guess.
- The right answer lights up green.
- The next scene gives the answer and the reason, with its own drawing.
Choose the Lesson + quiz writer mode and the AI writes a short lesson on your topic, then one or two quiz scenes that check the main idea, each followed by a scene that explains the answer.
Write your own quiz
You can also type the quiz yourself. A quiz is one line in the script format:
# quiz: Which planet is the hottest? | options: Mercury; Venus; Mars | answer: Venus
Quick quiz. Which planet is the hottest: Mercury, Venus or Mars?
# headline: The answer: Venus
Venus. Its thick clouds trap heat, so it's hotter than Mercury, even though Mercury is closer to the Sun.
A few details that help:
- Separate options with semicolons.
- The answer can be the option's text, its number (
2) or its letter (B). - The narration under the quiz line should ask the question and read the options, but never give the answer away. The scene after it does that.
- You can put several quiz scenes in one video. Each one gets its own countdown.
Quiz formats that work in short videos
| Format | Example | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Guess the thing | "Which animal has three hearts?" | Make the wrong options believable |
| True or false | "Lightning never strikes the same place twice." | Use options: True; False |
| Which came first | "Which came first: the printing press or the telescope?" | Surprising answers get comments |
| Odd one out | "Which of these is not a mammal?" | Keep options to one or two words |
| Finish the fact | "Light from the Sun reaches Earth in about…" | Good for science and history |
What makes a quiz Short people replay
- Ask in the first second. The question is the hook.
- Short options. Viewers need to read them while the countdown runs.
- One clear right answer. Arguments in the comments are fine; a disputed answer is not.
- Explain the answer. The reason is what viewers remember and share.
- End with the next question in mind. "Follow for tomorrow's quiz" gives a reason to come back.
Quizzes in other languages
Quiz videos work in all 10 languages. In Urdu the question, options and captions appear in Nastaliq, right to left, and in Hindi in Devanagari. Teachers can make the same quiz in English and Urdu from one idea.

Questions
How many options can a question have?
At least two. Three or four short options read best in a vertical video, because viewers need to take them in during the countdown.
Can I put several questions in one video?
Yes. Every quiz line in the script is its own scene with its own countdown and reveal, followed by the answer scene.
Do I have to write the questions myself?
No. The Lesson + quiz mode writes a short lesson and the quiz for you. You can edit any question, option or answer before you download.
Does it work in Urdu and Hindi?
Yes. The voice reads the question and options in Urdu or Hindi, and they appear in Nastaliq or Devanagari on screen.
Is there a watermark?
No. Downloaded quiz videos have no watermark.
